The Company has been responsible for managing client money on a discretionary basis since 1987 and funds under our independent management have since broached £88 Million. Investment strategies are plentiful and are managed to facilitate all investment objectives. Whether you require income, capital growth or a balance of the two, we shall create a personalised investment strategy which may include Portfolios, ISAs, Pensions and Offshore Bonds.

Building and monitoring a successful portfolio of investments takes considerable time and demands a thorough understanding of market opportunities. Inevitably these change over time and by managing your funds on a discretionary basis, we are able to react to these changes without delay and in accordance with your best interests.

After considering your individual circumstances and objectives, we shall make all of the investment decisions on your behalf. This is perfect for investors who require professional guidance but prefer not be to involved (or perhaps do not have the time) in the day to day management decisions. This addresses complex issues for you such as asset allocation, diversification of risk and the selection of individual holdings to meet investment expectations.

You can rest assured that your investment is being managed with the care and professionalism it deserves, allowing you the time to focus on what is important to you.

Diversification of Risk

Acting as an independent “fund director”, we select from all available investments from all management groups, without restriction. This offers complete flexibility and allows us to acquire whatever we consider to be suitable in fulfilling your objectives. With instantaneous access to market information and with the flexibility to act decisively as a consequence, strategy asset allocations can be adapted, as necessary.

Effectively, our discretionary managed strategies are “wrappers” within which we provide ongoing management to a wide spread of underlying investment holdings including Unit Trusts, OEICs, Investment Trusts, fixed interest stock and direct share holdings.

Whilst the UK economy provides a fertile environment for stocks and shares, there are also substantial international investment opportunities available which can serve to reduce risk and dependence upon any single economy and currency benefits can arise too.

Custody & Reporting

Our expertise lies in the management of your investments and to ensure that you receive maximum security and protection. Therefore, all administration and reporting responsibilities are delegated to carefully selected experts in that field which are independent of the Firm.

All securities purchased within your discretionary managed strategies are registered in the nominee name of either BNP Paribas or Transact which are then responsible for administering selected holdings for you as well as collecting and either distributing or reinvesting dividend and interest income. Both companies have an ongoing commitment to excellence with highly advanced administration systems which have been pivotal to their success.

Each company is responsible for keeping you apprised of the progress of your investments half-yearly. 5 April valuations also provide end-of-year tax schedules (where relevant), including tax certificates for UK and overseas’’ income, a schedule of transactions for the year and computations of capital gains. This is invaluable when preparing your annual tax return.

This support allows us to focus on the more imperative investment selection and management process.

Risk Warning - Stockmarket investments can offer income through the payment of dividends and interest and good opportunities for capital appreciation over the longer term. By this, generally we mean periods in excess of five years, preferably much longer. However, we can never promise you particular returns, especially in the short-term. At any point in time but especially in the short term, your capital could be worth less than the original amount invested as some of the selected holdings may fall in value, regardless of expectations at the time of acquisition. We may also invest in funds that hold overseas securities. The value of these investments may increase or decrease as a result of changes in currency exchange rates. Returns achieved in the past cannot be relied upon to be repeated.Your home may be at risk if you fail to maintain your mortgage interest and capital repayments or those of any loans secured upon it.
